Buy shipping labels in Scanpacker

In this setup you check each order and buy its shipping label in the same place. Scanpacker buys the label, creates the Shopify fulfillment with the tracking number, and prints the label. Nothing is left to do in Shopify afterwards.

Labels are bought through an EasyPost or Shippo account, which gives you USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL and many regional carriers. This feature is included on some plans only. See the pricing page for details.

Set it up

  1. Optional: set After checking an order to Go straight to fulfillment, in Settings > Scanning & Fulfillment. Otherwise you click Fulfill in Scanpacker on the Checked screen after each check.
  2. Connect EasyPost or Shippo, and choose your preferred carrier services. Shipping label purchase walks through each step.
  3. Optional: set up automated printing so labels print as soon as they’re bought, along with packing slips or customs forms.

Pack an order

  1. Start an order from the order queue, or choose Fulfill with Scanpacker from the More actions menu on a Shopify order page.
  2. Scan each item. When every item is scanned, Scanpacker moves on to the Fulfillment page.
  3. Check the parcel size and weight, and choose a carrier service. Your preferred service is already selected for most orders.
  4. Click Create fulfillment. Scanpacker buys the label, creates the fulfillment with the tracking number, and prints the label if you’ve set that up.

Move on to the next order

Tick Start next automatically in the menu next to Create fulfillment, and the next order in the queue opens as soon as each fulfillment is created. You can pack order after order without going back to the queue.
